I admit it I am a huge fucking fanboy of avatar and zomigod the new avatar series looks to be the best thing that ever happened to 9 year olds and me. Of course not that much has come out about it yet but hell I'm ready for more avatar even if it is possibly a crappy spin off[/code]

I'm about halfway through the original Avatar series, and I've been impressed. It's one of those shows I've meant to watch for a long time-- ever since some friends of mine in their mid to late twenties told me "You need to see this," and "It's not just a kids' show." It was after seeing the utter garbage of an adaptation that was the Shyamalan movie that I finally resolved to check out the real deal.

It's well animated, well voiced, and has more complex and dynamic characters than most made-for-adults dramas. Even though I still have 30+ episodes left, I'm glad to hear that it will be getting a continuation.

I'll give the movie that, at the very least, it had visually interesting special effects and martial arts. And Yue was hot. Razz

Not a good movie by any standard, but at least I wasn't bored for the entire time. Could have been worse.

I enjoyed Avatar. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy it as a fun action movie with great special effects. It's not great cinema, it's just fun.

Well sure, but it's not really flattering to a movie to say "This would be better if they just took all of the talking parts out."

I could cut the two Transformers movies put together down to a 42-minute movie that would be better than both of them, but that doesn't excuse the fact that they sucked.
