So, been trying to down the new boss in VoA for 2 days now. Yesterday I was able to get into a 25 man group and down him, no wipes, but try getting a competent 10 man group together, every fucking time we wipe. Final time we got him down to 500 hp before the last guy died. WTF is wrong with this picture where 25 man is easier than 10 man???
Has anyone else had this same problem? _________________
I've only been playing for just over a year, so I don't know how it used to be "in the old days", but it seems that since wrath at least, you have more room for slackers/soft hitting dps like most of my toons. More room for error, so to speak. I've seen 25 man raids carrying a few non-heroic geared folks so they can skip heroic/10man content and gear up directly from the 25 man content. That being said, every slot in 10 mans is critical.
It's kinda like aquariums, the smaller they are, the harder to maintain and less forgiving they are.

What's the internet forum troll equivalent of a Grand Slam called?

lol...what? Have you ever owned an aquarium? >.>
Since I'm not the necro-poster...yes, several...both freshwater tropical and marine reef. The smaller an ecosystem, the less stress it can handle before it is devastated. Thats fucking basic earth-science. Lol at me will ya?

As a biologist with an advanced degree that came from studying a tropical fish, I can verify this. The larger the volume of water the greater the buffer your aquarium system has. Changing the parts per million ammonia level in a ten gallon tank is a helluva lot easier than changing the level in a 100 gallon tank.
Sure setting up a ten gallon tank is easier than a 100 gallon tank, but once set up the 100 gallon tank is going to be a lot more stable. This fact is one of the reasons hard core aquarists recommend, when setting up a marine system (harder than freshwater) that beginners get the largest tank they can afford and have space for. _________________ "That's Dr. Moron to you."

A guy who owned a shop when I was stationed in Texas had a 10 gallon reef tank with just the right critters and absolutely no filters, bio balls or anything. (Yah, I just said balls...what of it ). Pretty kickass setup imo. He was seeing how long he could sustain it.

I have no problem with necroposts. It incites nerd rage beyond the proportions of the "infraction" and that makes me giggle. I will confess to having made derogatory comments about necroposting in the past, but usually that's to get the angry mob going. Sometimes it helps to stir the pot.
My 10 gallon tank is actually doing better now that I removed the filtration. The plants have all perked up, the snail population is dwindling (this is good, trust me) and all the algae has disappeared. _________________ "That's Dr. Moron to you."

Firstly, yes, aquariums are a pain in both the balls and the ass. Hard to get a house sitter to do things right if you're leaving on vacation. Also a good reason not to be the weirdo type that keeps snakes/lizards/spiders as pets...yes, i'm stirring the pot.
Sweet that you're seeing improvement in your tank. By mentioning plants, I assume you're dealing with fresh water there.

I used to have an african fat-tailed gecko. My now-wife was taking care of it while I was on a business trip when it died. It ate crickets, she's a vegetarian-- you do the math. Anyway, it died and she freaked out so badly that when she called our friend/neighbor, they thought that I had died in a plane accident or something. Not good times. I would never own a lizard again for the reason you specify. Its tough to get people to take care of them while you're away. _________________
